Overview of the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Executive to join our FAMCO Commercial Vehicles team in Qatar. This role is vital to ensuring the timely availability and efficient control of spare parts for our buses and trucks operations. The Inventory Executive will play a key role in optimizing inventory levels, minimizing obsolescence, and ensuring high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
About the team
You will work closely with the commercial vehicles aftersales, logistics, and sales teams in Qatar. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on delivering excellent support to internal stakeholders and external customers.
What you will do
- Manage inventory planning and stock control to support optimal parts availability.
- Review system-generated order proposals and adjust based on actual demand and trends.
- Track daily stock alerts and back-order reports, ensuring timely supplier follow-up.
- Handle urgent and VOR (Vehicle Off Road) orders, communicating ETAs with sales teams.
- Manage aging and non-moving stock through proactive sales initiatives and supplier buybacks.
- Optimize logistics and shipping costs by selecting cost-effective methods and consolidating shipments.
- Process and follow up on parts claims to ensure supplier reimbursement and resolution.
- Maintain accurate item master data and regularly update supplier pricing.
Required skills to be successful
- Proven knowledge of inventory and supply chain management for commercial vehicles. (buses and trucks)
- Experience working with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze reports and stock data.
- Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
What equips you for the role
- Minimum 3 years of experience in parts inventory or supply chain management within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering-related field.
- Working knowledge of stock aging, back-order management, and urgent order handling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory control software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a hands-on, customer-first mindset.
