Job Overview
Responsible for the maintenance, inspection, repair, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and a commitment to safety and compliance with local codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting malfunctions in the elevator, escalators, and dumbwaiter systems, including mechanical, electrical, control system, and hydraulic issues.
- Diagnosing the root cause of problems and developing solutions.
- Performing routine inspections of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiter components, including alignment, clearances, and safety devices.
- Lubricating moving parts and adjusting doors, brakes, and counterweights
- Identifying and resolving potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, control panels, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure equipment is operating correctly and complies with regulations
- Keep detailed maintenance records and write reports on services performed by the contractor.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years
