The Senior AV Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design, planning, and documentation of advanced audiovisual systems for a variety of environments including corporate, hospitality, education, and government. This role involves creating detailed technical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting project implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the shop drawings preparation and submissions.
- Study documents and drawings for tender and RFQs.
- Create the detailed BoQ.
- Create the system’s detailed schematic design.
- Coordination workshops and technical support to the projects team.
- Prepare progress reports (monthly, annual, drawings log, etc ).
- Review system proposals through delegated DRs.
- To impart training to design team members & draughtsmen to improve team activities and efficiency.
- Train Techno Q staff members on selected topics.
- Implement Company Quality Management System
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in AV system design, preferably in a consultancy or system integrator environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and other design/documentation software.
- Strong understanding of AV standards, signal types, and system integration.
- Familiarity with control and DSP platforms (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Biamp).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Avixa or CTS-D certification
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
