Overview of the role

We are looking for a customer-focused and technically skilled Service Advisor to join our Commercial Vehicles (Buses & Trucks) service team in Qatar. The Service Advisor acts as the single point of contact between the customer/driver and the workshop, managing service requests, time and cost estimations, job approvals, progress updates, and invoice explanation while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

About the team

You will report to the Service Manager and work alongside technicians, parts coordinators, and administrative staff. The service team operates in a fast-paced environment where delivering reliable and timely service to commercial vehicle customers is the top priority. We focus on teamwork, clear communication, and continuous improvement.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers/drivers in the service reception.
  • Understand and clarify customer concerns and convert them into clear service instructions.
  • Prepare accurate time and cost estimations in coordination with workshop and spare parts.
  • Secure customer approvals for recommended jobs, service contracts, and preventive maintenance.
  • Track job progress and ensure completion within estimated timelines and budgets.
  • Explain invoices and completed work to customers, ensuring clarity and satisfaction.
  • Drive revenue through upselling value-added services, additional jobs, and service packages.
  • Ensure proper documentation and job card creation using internal systems (SAP/CRM).
  • Maintain CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) targets through proactive communication and follow-u.

Required skills to be successful

  • Solid knowledge of service reception operations and workshop processes.
  • Strong technical understanding of diesel engines, driveline, common rail systems, and air conditioning in commercial vehicles.
  • Effective upselling, negotiation, and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time estimates, customer expectations, and job flow under pressure.
  • Comfortable using SAP, MS Office, and customer management systems.

What equips you for the role

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive service industry, with at least 3 years as a Service Advisor, preferably in buses or commercial vehicles.
  • Deep knowledge of service contracts, warranty policies, repair codes, and technical systems.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
