Overview of the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our Commercial Vehicles (Buses & Trucks) aftersales team in Qatar. This role is essential in performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in heavy commercial vehicles and a commitment to quality and safety.
About the team
You will work as part of the aftersales service team. The team is passionate about delivering timely, high-quality service to our fleet and individual customers across the Qatar market. We value collaboration, learning, and a problem-solving mindset.
What you will do
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial vehicles. (buses and trucks)
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools.
- Follow OEM repair procedures and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Complete job cards and service reports accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools and workshop equipment.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Participate in on-the-job and OEM training to stay updated on technical advancement.
Required skills to be successful
- Strong knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle systems. (engine, transmission, air brake, electrical, etc.)
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical manuals.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
What equips you for the role
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a technician in the commercial vehicles sector.
- Diploma or trade certification in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working with buses, trucks, or construction equipment is a must.
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic tools and workshop systems.
- Valid driver’s license. (heavy vehicle license is a plus)
